Day Insurance

Afternoon,

I need to MOT my XS at the weekend, currently SORN and doesn't have insurance.

Need to drive it to the test centre, anyone know of cheap 1 day car insurance?
Lowest quote so far is £30

Thanks, Michael

It's worth asking your current insurer if they can add it for a day.

I just rang up my insurer to see if I can add my Fiance as we are going up to Newcastle in a couple of days and it would be nice to share the driving, but they wouldn't insure her as she is under 25 :(

Most day insurers won't quote for her either, any that will want to charge a fortune!

The other problem with day insurers is that they often wont insure older and/or modified cars.

Hi,

Please feel free to give us a try for insurance if you like. If you wanted to PM me some contact details I'd be happy to arrange for one of my quotes team to give you a call back.

Regards,

Dan.

Current insurer has quiet me £24 for a two week period. Not great but has to be done.

Renewal up in April and will move to classic insurance I think. Thanks for the comments

To be honest £24 for two weeks sounds pretty reasonable - with some insurers you'd pay more than that in "admin" fees let alone actually insuring the car!

I agree, that's as good as it gets!

I once picked up a 205 and wanted to insure it for a day, i said it was worth a grand and they said that was too low a value so they couldn't quote.

Hang up, ring back, worth £1500, no problem sir.....

I'd be chuffed with £24 for two weeks.
