artois7 21 Posted November 10, 2015 Need to replace a perished and leaking fuel hose on my mi16, but I read some horror stories on chinese imitations earlier. Any recommendations on cheap but reputable parts?
John_B 11 Posted November 10, 2015 (edited) http://www.carbuildersolutions.com/uk/fuel-hose-7mm-932 Just put some of this on mine and it was labelled Gates, not that it was advertised as such so it might change. I've only just put it on though... time will tell! Edited November 10, 2015 by John_B

Miles 331 1 Cars Posted November 10, 2015 Fuel hose is a issue at the moment from experance, Gates stuff lasts around 6 years before it gives up unless the process has been changed on the newer pipe, I tend to use PTFE lined hose now as you know it will be OK for donkey's. johniban 59 1 Cars Posted November 14, 2015 Im sure this is the stuff i got to go from my from my fuel pump to the braided hose http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/8MM-HIGH-PRESSURE-RUBBER-FUEL-INJECTION-HOSE-PIPE-LINE-225PSI-1-2-METER-AZX-5-/401024614204?hash=item5d5eedff3c:g:bPIAAOSw~bFWM1hu
Simes 248 2 Cars Posted November 14, 2015 Go teftlon as Miles said. The hose I used 7 years ago not only failed as the vacuum hose but also caused a very dangerous fuel leak, within a week of each other.
Miles 331 1 Cars Posted November 14, 2015 I have even spoken to a couple of friends who supply throttle bodies and they know about the issue too, Catch 22 but if you know about it keep a eye on it, like everything these days nothing is built to last
