Is This An Earth?

Most of my interior gauges and buttons don't work, the dash had been taken out by the previous owner. I don't think everything has been plugged in correctly.

This is hanging down by the steering column, is it an earth or the choke light wiring?

My choke and Stop light are continuously on and temp gauges, fuel gauge and rev counter do not work. Though speedo does

That yellow wire/spade is for the choke warning light. Should be unplugged on GTi models.

Ok, thanks Anthony. So is fine as it is.

I'll have to look further to check the actual earth is plugged in plus search for the other dash earths.

 

Other mess of wires is behind passenger headlight / AFM area. The block that bolts to slam panel and has connectors into it, all around there looks a mess and I'm sure a few things are wrong. Will get to the bottom of it
