Hi all, recently joined this site as I've recently urchased my 3rd 205. Woulld love to hear from anyone who has any knowledge of my 2 previous ones. A 1.6 gti cherry red registration E555 DUT, and a cherry red 1.9 F729 MAU, which i had in the late eighties/very early nineties.

 

I sold the 1.6 in part exchange to buy the 1.9 in Nottingham circa 1989, and sold the 1.9 to a garage in Burton On Trent circa 1991.

The 1.6 hasn't been taxed since 2004 but the 1.9 is taxed and MOTed.

 

Were you the first owner of the 1.9 then? It is on owner number 10 now!

I was the second owner - purchased it when it was circa 6 months old and had 8,000 miles on the clock. I had it just at the time when insurance premiums were starting to go north fast, and we'd just had our first child so money was tight and it had to go.
