Best Programme To Uprate 1.8 Turbo Diesel ?

Starting with a standard 205 TD 1.8 engine, fitted with Lucas pump, can anyone suggest steps for a programme to improve performance, please?

 

For example, is it best to start with adjustments to pump? (if so, what are these, though?)

 

If pump first, what next? And onwards...............

 

(BTW, have a Xantia inlet manifold & Xantia intercooler, plus sundry Xantia pipework from turbo to intercooler, unfitted)

to be completely honest you're pissing in the wind with 1.8T, you'll see gains for sure but a 1.9TD drops straight in, 9mm pump and a front mount is good for 130bhp!
