Front Hub Removal

Recommended Posts

ALEX205CTI

Hi, I am trying to remove the driver side front hub as I think the bearing has seized with the car standing.

I have released the strut pinch bolt and the bottom ball joint pinch bolt and the track rod end.

The hub nut is off.

Nothing is moving and I am wondering if the bottom arm is as far down as it can go.

Is it necessary to release the anti-roll bar?

What about the inner mount on the bottom arm to allow everything to move down?

Any other suggestions???

Thanks

Have you got only one side of the car in the air? If so you will be fighting with the tension from the anti roll bar. If you only have one side jacked up, jack the entire front end up then try again.

also you need to leave the strut pinch bolt until you have pulled the balljoint pin down out of the clamp.

inward pressure or bumping will help whilst pulling/levering the arm down, never pry the clamp open
