Subframe Insetts

Recommended Posts

Basically I have welded the floor and other areas on the car . Removed the subframe but the inserts in the engine bay fell to bits . Have m10 rivnuts to put back in will pulling them tight and small welds be strong enough to keep it secure .

No in my opinion. Rivnuts are OK for holding covers on and mounting bits and pieces but I would not want to rely on them for load bearing suspension.

You can still buy the proper replacement cage nuts from Peugeot, that is what I recommend you do.

Agree - I wouldn't consider rivnuts for load bearing applications.
