Fitting A New Heater Matrix

Recommended Posts

Chris81a

Hi.

My Pug 205 gti needs a new heater matrix (wet drivers floor). Can any member fit it for me without removing the dash for reasonable cost? I have the part. Chester area.

A 205 matrix is an easy job, you remove the tray part of the dash that is in front of the drivers right knee, 3 screws and a bolt, that then makes enough access to get at the heater matrix and pipes.

One tip for you, the new matrix usually comes with new pipes, but they are poorly shaped and a poor fit. If your old ones are in good condition re use them.

The easiest heater matrix I've ever changed, I'm sure you only need a cross head screwdriver

Takes 90 minutes to do, includes bleeding the system.
