Caliper Slider Pin Question, Old Vs New

Recommended Posts

johnboy1984

Hi folks,

Finally decided to get the ball rolling on my 205 with the purchase of all new brakes for the front. While trawling eBay I found new slider pins with bolts and thought I'll have them. The originals I still have, on one of them the head is different, and one has a plastic sheath on the shaft... Here's some pics of old and new.. Can anyone shed some light on this please?

They'll still work fine as long as the length and o.d is correct, its an anti rattle piece afaik

Thanks mate, just to paint my carriers then and crack on with fitting. I feel a bit uneasy about fitting all those new parts to old corroded hubs and arms but I'm going to do this as a rolling restoration, one little area at a time, to make sure it doesn't end up in the never gets finished category
