johniban 59 1 Cars Posted October 4, 2015 sorry if this isnt the right section.. Can someone tell me what the 3 pins are on the 3 pin radiator switch? I need to know witch one is the 12v in as i am wiring up a standalone circuit with a relay
johniban 59 1 Cars Posted October 4, 2015 Could i just buy a 2 pin switch im guessing they are just 12v in and 12v out
ablister 31 Posted October 4, 2015 3 pin switches are usually a double temp switch ie one circuit is made at say 90 degrees and the other at 100 degrees. To check for 12v, use a multimeter
johniban 59 1 Cars Posted October 5, 2015 I'm not using any of the original wiring loom hence needed to know what pin was the 12v in so i can wire my slim line fan up to it on its own, I've purchased a two pin swtich now so it should just be a case of 12v in and out
Ryan 99 Posted October 5, 2015 If you're using a 2-pin switch then it doesn't matter which pin you use for 12V. It's just a simple on/off switch, so you can wire it either way round.

Yes i know this, i was originally using a 3 pin switch hence me asking about the 3 pins, As said previousy, i have sorted it now by purchasing a 2 pin switch thanks though
