check the friction surface diameter on thw flywheel and actual friction disc.

which engine is it? there are two common sizes for an xu with a be box, 200 and 215mm, the latter found on anything 16v 1.9 and 2.0, the former is found on the 8v xu engines 1.9 and under.

Nothing wrong with that.

Get a 1.9 MI 16v clutch. The 1.9 mi16 4x4 clutch fits as well

Bigger flywheel /clutch is better in my opinion. Keep the flywheel!

You already have flywheel and bolts holding it on

would the bigger clutch work on a be1?

yes, just fine.

early mi's had be1 boxes, differences to be3 are minimal and certainly none at all relating to pressure plates or friction discs.

had an mi16 clutch and flywheel on my 8v for 8 years.

that looks like an 8v flywheel, theres no timing teeth, if it really is 215mm then its a diesel flywheel

I would check the numbers on the pressure plate, also whats on the box it came in.

It definitely measured 215mm on flywheel and the 2 clutches ive tried are both 200mm and the pressure plates are same but do not fit. God know why its had a diesel one fitted then.
