That makes two of us. I live in Maidstone, Kent. Now my car is mechanically finished I need someone who is passionate and skilled to repaint my 205.

Any suggestions and photo's of work done would be helpful.

Either way it's not cheap, prep is the longest part, spraying is easy. The finish depends on how well the prep is done, Most paint shop's mask everything off inc trims, Bumpers etc but you always get hard paint lines, The proper way is to remove everything, Clean, prep, Spray then put it all back together, Cost would be around £2200.00 for that

Same here, all trim, doors, glass, rubbers, and engine bay empty, I was expecting somewhere between 2k-3k.

The chap that used to paint my cars was a rare classic car restorer and the first time he painted a car it took 6 weeks. It was 4 weeks more than any other quote I had. When I got the car back it obvious why, super smooth black paint, even under UV light it was perfect : ) Unfortunately he started painting before Health & Safety was introduced and has developed emphysema and has had to stop.

I've had a lad from the body shop next door to my work come and check out my 205, his words were ''well it needs some love, doesn't it!'' hasn't given me a price yet but is going to see how much his boss will charge him for paint and hopefully do it one weekend
