Can any one tell me the best way to remove old paint from my 205 bumper and trim?

I guess it depends on what type of paint it is. If you're lucky, it'll be removable with some cellulose thinners. That's how I removed mine along with some scotchbrite. Hard work though and may only leave a surface suitable for another coat of paint unless something like Plasticare covers/hides the small scratches that dull it down as a result.

Do you think degreaser will remove it.... The plan was to dye it grey.... It starting to flake in places.... Not keen on spraying it.... Will thinners eat the plastic?

I'd try a going over with a decent jet washer first. You probably will have to resort to using scotchpads to remove some of it. I can tell you from experience that a} you will lose some of the texture, b} you won;t get all of the paint off because of the texture, unless you're willing to flatten it right back and lose the texture, and c} even if some of the paint is left over, you should still be able to dye it OK with Plasticare but it may not be perfect. I managed to cover my side trims OK, but the bumpers didn't take the Plasticare so well. I'm not sure if this was due to the remaining paint, or if perhaps they are pattern bumpers made of a different plastic (some plastics just won't absorb Plasticare).

I'm not sure which way to go.... Im thinking now of just leaving it as it is,as it only flacked in a few areas.but I suppose it's only going to get worse.
