Yeah Willem Toet was abit handy behind the wheel. The cross over got stopped after lots of crashes (its looked hairy at speed) around 94-95 iirc.

The engine was on carbs back then too so wasnt at the hp its at now. Just glad we basically saved the car from being broken for parts.

What would you like to know about the TC?

Its not an off the shelf system ,it was developed by F1 engineer Richard Marshall. At the time he was commisioned to get a working system on there Benetton F1 car so was trying systems out on the 205 at the weekends to tweak them. Its run by his own ecu.

Amazing, is it still fitted to the car? How does it work? Like abs and a rev limiter?

Yes most parts are still fitted. We need to get the updated software on the new datalogger/ecu he has designed. It also runs variable length throttle body trumpets so would like the software back on for that also. That was the plan last year but the thing nuked itself while testing so the year was a bust. Its been rebuilt and will be out and about this year around the midland hill climbs.

Runs off an kevlar air bottle that needs to be recharged after each hill climb run so lasts about a minute. Various electronic air jets All Runs via the f1 engineers ecu that he built.

Not something you can buy anyway this is a proper one off car.
