Bonnet Latch With Throttle Bodies On 16V

Recommended Posts

johniban

Probably in the wrong section but my issue is 16v related,

Just wondering how people secure their bonnets when using throttle bodies with the big sausage air filters, the slam panel doesn't fit, without extensive moddification (not leaving much strength in it for a catch)

i dont really want gastly bonnet pins, has anyone used the aero catch flush mounted catches?

Aerocatches are excellent ! I've got the locking ones on bonnet and tailgate.

I've used standard aero catches before but i wasn't too bothered about the look of the car, i want the car to look standard as much as possible,

Aerocatches, I went with them as I've dropped my rad. This means there is literally no support for a catch.

Look at my build thread.

nice just had a look through, they don't look too out of place to be fair

Another vote for Aerocatches:

Used a burr grinder on a 22k rpm air drill for a perfect fit.
