Loved it, 5 days of non stop abuse and the worst it did was loosen an engine mount bolt.

As a daily I drive a Hyundai I30n performance.

What I'm about to say is gonna hurt (couldn't believe it myself before I first drove one) but I think it's the car that comes the closest to the driving experience of a very fast 205 of all new cars you can buy...

We had one of these on test at work alongside and X3 M40i.... we had to have an exhaust 'bang off' and the i30 won by miles. The front end grip is phenomenal but did seem to lack some of the 270 quoted horses. Only a few thousand miles on the clock though. No good for us due to rear strut brace... is that standard??

In some countries the rear strut brace is standard, in other countries it isn't.

Exhaust is loud: right out off the factory 109 db.

The engine is realy senstive to how you break it in. The engines that are broken in by following the procedure Hyundai discribes (not over 3000 rpm and easy on the throttle for the first 600 miles) tent to have less power.  I drove it WOT for the first 100 miles ( dual carriageway and nothing but bursts from 10 mph to 50 mph in 4th gear). Result on the dyno: 278 bhp and 403 Nm... Me happy :D

Just scored this 1974 Ford Econoline in LA - currently sat at the docks awaiting boxing up for the journey over..

Two owners, sliding side door (my preference over barndoors), 30k miles, 302 V8 auto with factory PAS and PAB - a rare combo.  Zero rust (ignoring the patina!)

Thought I should update my "interesting" other cars since it's been a while...

1991 MB 560SEL - 230k miles and fabulously reliable. Complete with heated electrically reclining rear seats!

.69ce264a-4821-4d30-b048-98870d86716b-ori

1999 MB SL500. Bought cheap from Italy. Reliable, well built, very capable, but parts are eye-wateringly expensive.

28037b66-4e9d-4b33-85f4-7674ad921a3a-ori

1999 Lotus Elise S1. Under 10k miles from new, and bog-standard. A fab little thing to drive, with all the performance I think you'd want for the A and B roads I drive on. Currently for sale!

d3fb5609-9588-45fd-a40b-7921df769cd2-ori

Lastly, new to me as of last week, a very cheap 1973 Citroen D Super. Always wanted one - didn't think I'd get the chance. I couldn't refuse, even though it needs work everywhere and will likely be a money pit. I love it. Complete antithesis to the 205 and everything else in a way.

96602555-4756-4844-a9a3-7c38661eb074-ori

No room for any more!

Justin.
