Why Are There 2 Grooves In The Plastic Throttle Lever On Throttle Body

Recommended Posts

johnhenry

Just wondering why there are 2 grooves for throttle cables on the GTI throttle lever (plastic bit where the return spring sits) on the throttle body.

I have measured the distance of one to be 24.5mm from centre point, the other looks like its more, anyone know what it is?
Or, why there are 2 different throttle grooves?

Cheers John

I think the second one is to attach a kickdown cable to for automatic models
