Wrong Wishbone

Hihi, needed drivers wishbone-got a pair (from eBay) fitted new poly bushes-fitted drivers, everything hunky dory. Couple of weeks later fitted passenger side-steering wheel moved, strange (dead at centre) steering-didn't like it-took wishbone back off checked against original-seems same size (different casting though-less ribs) put original back on wahay happy again

Anybody got a clue-I thought maybe one was a 309 job but they do look the same size

Okay okay lesson learned eBay etc before you slag me off

Generally it's obvious whether it's a 205 or 309 wishbones by the ribbing - 205 wishbones have ribbing, whereas 309 wishbones don't.

That said, I've seen surprisingly large tolerances between wishbones from different suppliers to the point where they've thrown the tracking miles out - you normally need no more than half a turn of the TRE to get the tracking right, but from memory it was something like 5 turns out!
