Coolant Hose Locations

Posted this in my progress thread but as it only gets updated I guess people rarely read it.

I'm currently putting all the plumbing back in and can't figure some of the hoses.

1. The hoses from the top of the expansion tank. The one on the left goes to the front of the car then across to the drivers side to top of radiator. Where does the one on the right hand side go?

2. I have a short S shaped hose (about a foot long) where does this go?

i have a hunch for both from looking at photos online but want to be sure. The car is a 1.6 with the black expansion tank.

Have also replaced the SAD pipes. Pipe from the back of the SAD goes to one of the pipes on the air inlet right (it's the k&n pipe I have here rather than OE)? Pipe on the front of SAD goes to the front bottom of the inlet manifold?

As per the factory, the expansion tank pipe goes to the throttle body, and the shorter pipe goes from the throttle body to the thermostat housing.

However, what I would personally do is to connect the expansion tank straight to the thermostat housing and do away with the throttle body heating circuit altogether - it's not needed in the comparatively mild UK climate and simplifies the plumbing.

SAD pipes sound about right from memory - they'll only fit one way around anyway.

Thanks Anthony. You confirmed my hunch regarding the factory fitting. My confusion had come from seeing some photos with the expansion hose going to the tap/valve on the thermostat housing as you suggest to do. I will go for that routing.
