It Won!

I put my 205 GTI in for a car show called Power on the Prom in Devon on Saturday and it won best car in the classic category.

 

It's nice to see these cars are so well regarded these days. The amount I spoke to people about it and the classic "1.6 or 1.9" murmurs I heard was great.

Good effort mate , great feeling winning things for hard work , my old 106gti won best car on stand out of 40 cars at french car show 2014 , was pretty chuffed with that.

The escort was very nice and quite standard with the exception of a bigger turbo! To be fair the cossie got the most attention out of everything all day.

I think the EsCos may belong to a guy on the RS Owners Club as it does look a little familiar. Buy hey, the Cossie may have got more attention at times, but the right car clearly won in the end

 

Good news the old exhaust is still going strong - I knew it had a reasonable bit of life left in it when it came off the car, so I'm glad you were able to put it to good use - I'm still deafening myself (and Miles every time he gets the car) with the OMP system :hehe:
