Where To Get My Rear Beam Rebuilt?

Recommended Posts

Robbiedundy

Hi, a few months ago I bought a 309 Gti rear beam off a friend from work with the intentions of stripping it down and trying to rebuilt it myself, I got so far as stripping all the brackets, struts, etc off it and got the arb out then pretty much abandoned it, I've been told my car has to be moved out of the garage so really needing it done asap, I know that it will take me forever to try and do myself so I'm wondering if I can send my beam through a courier for someone to rebuild for me as I live in the north of Scotland, whether it be a good company or perhaps someone through the forum willing to do it. I've had a little search but nothing really has come up. Could anyone point me in the right direction?

Cheers,

Robbie.

Depends where you are and where you can get to, tom fenton, steff or meirion (welshpug) are quite good options

I'm in the north of Scotland so would need to send it via courier, I understand it'd be quite expensive but it m happy to pay extra to get it done right.

He has new beam tubes if that is an issue, with them being NFP would get you out a hole

I just spoke to him and he can not get access to the forum?

If Simes thinks he's unbanned, is there an agenda/oversight by some team leader not to allow him access we don't know about?

I've just looked into this.

His account was only supposed to be banned for a short period and there's an entry to say that the ban was lifted on 16th January, but for some reason his account didn't revert to normal state and - unknown to us - he remained banned. Like Simes above, I too thought that he'd been unbanned.

There's no hidden agenda here and I've manually gone in and unbanned his account.

Cheers for the help guys, much appreciated.

Thanks for the offer Andy, but I started making arrangements with Tom about getting it done a few hours after I posted the thread, I should've posted that sooner
