any links to the willwood set ups?

id rather not have to get a new set as mine are great but the wheels stick out the archs (not road legal) and i dont want to stick wider arches on so i need to loose the spacers

what have you got now?

some gti6 brakes will work just fine if you even need that much power.

Hi Spec as well, better than the Willwood stuff which I have never rated, AP callipers which are not cheap but along with Brembo the best you can get

KAD do some fairly good callipers at not huge money, I have fitted these and found them to perform well, 6 pot as well not that it makes a huge difference on a 205 as your not stopping allot of weight so huge brakes are not needed

Paul Higgs car has a set of HiSpec billet 4 calipers on, under SL434's. I was impressed with how well it stops.

Some of the lighter weight hi specs and willwoods flex quite a lot and 'wedge' the pads. Not a big deal if you keep swapping them around but not ideal on a road car.

As said APs, Alcon and Motorsport Brembos are the ones to go for but ££££££.....

Honestly, just fit GTi6 brakes with quality pads. We've just bought some new ME20 Endless pads as an interim solution and they are stunning. They're quiet enough for road use and guaranteed to pop your eye balls out. They are expensive at AUS$450 but better than spending big dollars on 4 pots for a road car.

I've got differential bore HiSpec R114-4's & 283mm diiscs - fit under 1.9 Speedlines fine and are more than capable of coping with competitive power and sticky rubber on a 1600 rally car.

I use KAD 6 Pots on GTI6 discs.

For me the big advantage of an alloy caliper is to get rid of some unspring mass, so I'm suprised at you guys running GTI6 discs, they weigh about the same as the titanic! I know 2 piece discs and bells are more expensive but if you are spending lots of cash elsewhere they are good value for the weight loss and handling improvements.

£45 a pair of discs or £300+...

at least theyre still 2kg lighter than the 288x28 needed for a 406 brembo on a 205 hub.

And lighter then a 206/307 283mm disc.

I have Megane Brembo's with 307 hdi 302mm discs as a replacement for my 206/307 283mm calipers and discs.

Although the 302mm discs are bloody heavy, the difference in weight of the complete setups (2 calipers+ 2discs) is approx half a kilo.

Likely I'll order 2 pieces discs/bells for it next year and pass the 302mm discs on to my 308sw.

The stopping power (esp at high speed) of the Brembo's is just a different league....

I've seen people fitting the Megane Brembo's in SL434's, but it is very tight fit...

You can grab them from ebay for way less than aftermarket 4pots.

A friend of mine bought a 6pot KAD setup with modified Ford discs, but was a bit disappointed in the value for money.

They didn't line up well with the discs and had to make new bushes to correct it:

Disc not centered....
