Lightened Flywheel Advice

Been looking for a lightened gti6 flywheel. Lynx/ttv quoting around 320ish delivered. Pug1off is around 60 cheaper. Has anyone any experience and feedback on these please?

I've had a TTV one on mines for 6 months, very nice machining, and no problems at all.

Gives it good throttle response, and i don't feel any negatives with it at all.

You might need to drill your clutch plate cover holes out to 8mm.......2 min job.

I think TTV are the only guys doing them these days?

pug1off is not cheaper than Lynx at all if you've been quoted £320 from Lynx.

Best price I've seen is £258 on the gti6 forum, which is the pre-vat price...

It's £320.00 from 1off, I can get them but drop Rich a message on the 306 Forum

I have a rich_w one and it's spot on, revs really freely and isn't awful to drive in traffic (not that it'll matter on your track car)

So are the ones from 1off made by same people anyway? IE all RichW ones?

Ive emailed RichW at Lynx. 306 forum is being daft, my old login wont work, doesn't recognise my email address. I created a new login etc and not a single forum has a new post or reply button .

Thank god for this forum :D

What clutches are people running as I see mixed advise. Some say standard cover with paddle plate, others uprated cover and standard plate? The series it will enter is typically places like oulton, cadwell and rockingham etc. 2 races in one weekend once a month, 15 mins + 1 lap each to give you an idea of how much use it will see. Car should hopefully be 200ish bhp on r888 tyres.

I'm running about that much in my zx on a standard clutch without any issues.

What kind of use does the ZX get? If I can stick to standard it would be a lot easier on money and future maintenance etc but don't want to complete the build to strip it down again.

see that's the problem, launching and aggressive gear changing will be common.

Std will last but will over heat in extreme use, the problem with Padel versions is that the life span is very limited so take your choice and price

Yes all marketed flywheels are made by TTV, Lynx did have sole rights,

If you get stuck I can order one up

Have Lynx not got sole rights any more then? That's handy as TTV are 2 mins up the road from me but they wouldn't sell me a flywheel directly last time I tried.

seen quite a few not very flat ones from overheating, the material is pretty thin so it seems they dont cope with being mistreated very well from the thermal shock.
