No Fuel From The Injectors.

Recommended Posts

laser green 1.9

It is a while since I've been on here but my 205 died on me on the way home last night.

I was drive home when it started to stall and then cut back in. I had to restart it a couple of times but it did restart.

Got it hope and check all the usual stuff. When back out and drove for about 1/2 a mile and then died completely.

So I've spent the day trying to fix it.

It turns over and I have a spark but I cannot smell any fuel.

I've checked and cleaned the engine earth terminal,

checked the continuity on the fly lead coming from the dizzy,

Tried on old superchipped ecu that I have in the garage,

I have fuel pressure at the rail the pump primes and continues to run

Tried an old tachemetric relay,

But nothing has worked.

So my question is how do I trick the injectors into firing or what do I check next. My car is a standard 1.9 gti from 1991.

Thanks, Mike.

Hi Mike,

Have you tried a test light in the end of an injector plug to see if it flashes when you crank ?

The injectors are supplied with a common live and they are switched on the negative from memory

I don't have a test light. I used a spark plug to test for a spark.

I may have to invest in one.

Cheers,

Mike.

Id say the tach relay. Or the wiring to it.
