Mi16 Breather / Icv Layout

Recommended Posts

Bakes100

Hi,

Hopefully a simple question this one....

On a standard Mi16 inlet hose which pipe (oil breather/ICV) goes to which hole?

I have the hoses setup the correct way round in terms of position although currently the ICV hose is connected to the outlet with the reducer on & the oil breather is connected to the full diameter outlet.

Is this correct? Or should the ICV be connected to the full diameter outlet on the inlet hose.

Thanks

Stuart

That is correct, the hoses go in a straight (ish) line so the ICV is at the back on the outlet with the reducer and the breather is at the front.

Good luck! I know a couple of good MOT testers locally if you don't know one that is familiar with older cars.

I doubt thats the cause, but why not just swap them back and see if it makes a difference? It will only take a minute! :)
