I attended the event at the weekend, it was absolutely amazing.

Here's a video someone took, watch how the guy drives his 205 st about 3.40s He was amszing and his mechanic showed me round the car. Its a Gti6, with a great idea for engine mounts.

Also the Xsara WRC car was there from Citroen museum, driven by Meeke, it is a weapon and thrashed everything except Alistair McRae, however Meeke was doing a donut every lap for the crowds.

Missed this as I was abroad. But watching the Mille Miglia made up for it!

It really was a great weekend, and very varied too with various sideshows and car clubs (subaru, RS, and also a couple of mixed car clubs). A few wholesalers there too sellng stuff.

There will be lots of videos on you tube now i would think.

It was my first time at an event like this but after seeing fast cars/drivers going round a tarmac track i know well, i think i'll go the next time the touring cars are on.

The race was 10 stages, and they used about 6 or 7 different layouts, and reverse layouts etc, which kept it all interesting. It was meant to be a fun day but as all the drivers wanted the bragging rights you could see it getting more competitive as it progressed.

Have to say the comentators were excellent too and talked about lots of different stuff.

The BTCC weekend is great fun. Almost always something on track and plenty to see trackside too. I prefer Knockhill the "wrong way round".

Last time on the KH (wrong way round) i was nearly off the track at the chicane on the warm up lap! Lol

Need to remember to break a lot earlier than you think coming from the hairpin heading to Scotstoun? too or you end up sideways, found that out the hard way too!

Aye, can be deceptive. But it's all fun. I don't like the rally roads on the hill though. There are probably still bits of my engine up there!

I'll never forget going up there in mine to spectate a hot-hatch day, parked at a really random position and got out for a smoke and looked at my back wheel and i was sitting 1mm off a broken Barrs bottle....... the chances!
