Best Adhesive For Securing Mirror Trim

Had to replace mirror 1 of the lugs was already broken and I broke another getting it off to change.

I tried double sided tape, cleaning before and letting it dry but it still wont stick lasted a day!

What would be something that is strong but not so strong that if i need to replace the mirror again wouldn't break the trim trying to remove?

A great big lump of dog sh*t might work but i suggest you might try some thing like this!

I'd use a couple of blobs of silicone sealant, it's easy enough to remove in the future.

Why don't you just get a new clip? I got one from Farmer for a reasonable price.

 

Edit: I assume you're talking about the rear view mirror?

Nope wing mirror was kicked off , ok will try silicone sealant.
