Inner Track Rods Discontinued?

My local Parts supplier is usually really good, but the inner track rods he's ordered listed for the 205 are different to the originals.

 

The ones he's getting are the only ones listed under 205 and have a double raised lug on the locking washer NOT single as shown in this ebay advert.

The problem is the washer doesn't sit flush to the rack with the extra lug. I have new Peugeot washers, but the design of the locking face is different (more flat instead of cone shaped) so I'm not confident in fitting them.

 

The parts supplier is adamant the design has been revised as the part numbers are correct but I'm thinking he's mixed up with the 206 ones.

Just found the ones he's supplying and they are also on ebay and look like this Listed for 205.

Can anyone explain? Because I cant fit these tie rods to the rack with the double raised washer, unless I'm missing something??

Use the lock washer supplied with the new track rod.

The faces are different. more flat than cone shaped, obviously not designed to fit together, though probably would squash and fit, not sure about safety of it though,

Just selected my car in the second ebay advert and it says it doesn't fit my. 205 Cti 1988 1.6

I thought all 205 tie rods were the same?

They are still available, i bought a Febi one last week and even the genuine ones are still available - 381795 - but are crazily priced and they are special order.

 

You have to remember that they are shared with the Citroen C15 van, and that was in production until 2004.

As an aside - are these common for PAS racks and non PAS racks ?
