What's This Part?

I'm getting spots of oil underneath the Pug when its left for any amount of time at first I thought it was the corner of the sump, I torqued the bolts to spec (I wasn't the last one to put it on) and they had a little way to go still on each, that seems to have stopped that from weeping however it didn't explain the oil further up into the engine.

In the below picture is where It looks to be like the oil is coming from because it is wet all around it and dry above it, only problem is I don't know what it does or is

Any help?

Its a un used crank speed sensor fitted to use by the original Peugeot diagnostic kit. If you trace the cable it ends up in a brown plug usually dangling somewhere near the cam cover.

No oil to leak from there though, its probably coming down from either the dizzy O ring, or the gasket between the thermostat housing and the head.

Oh really? that's embarrassing. Dizzy o ring did cross my mind, but its not very old, having said that I recently fitted a new dizzy so could have twisted it or nipped it putting it back in so I'll check that. Thermostat housing looks dry, but difficult to tell with everything else still there so I'll check that, it's just odd that it seems to be all bone dry up past the level of that crank sensor

What are/where are the main cap hockey stick seals? I'm assuming they're the shape of a hockey stick
