Driveshaft Nut Size?

Can anyone confirm that the driveshaft nut on the 205 GTI 1.6 is 32 mm? I need to do wheel bearings this week and need to go buy the tool to remove the nut.

Should be 32mm, why not just measure it?

Should be 30mm for 1.6 driveshafts.

I have come across both in the past. Best to measure really.

typically 30mm front 32mm rear, 35mm front for 1.9/abs.

 

as tom said though, do check as aftermarket nuts can be different, have had 32 and 36mm on a 1.9!

I was at work and the car home, cou;dn't measure. I bought the 32mm tool, if needed I'll return it and get the 30 mm one.
