Suspension Help One Side Lower Than Other

Recommended Posts

Hi all I'm In desperate need of help regarding my rear suspension

I've just fitted a recently refurbished beam to my car and the left side is so low the tyre is level with the arch and the right side is probably 20-25mm higher. The brackets that go the the arb end plates were missing and when trying to line up I would have to put a lot of weight on one side to line up correctly. So (maybe wrongly) I removed one side and lined it up to match the other well as close as it would go.

The frustrating part is I've got my first track day booked on Friday for the 205 so keen to get it sorted asap.

It's a totally standard beam with new gas gold dampers

With the ARB disconnected does it then sit level?

Did not think the ARB would affect ride height, have you got the main arms on the splines in the right position to give the same ride height on both sides, dummy shock absorber available and ARB disconnected?

im going to have another look tonight ill disconnect the arb to start with and see, just seems odd that to fit it as it was i would of had to force the trailing arm round which was twisting the torsion bar i believe so wondering if i had of left it like that would it of sat more level and by me removing the end plate and reseating level (only removed one side but will lok at both tonight) has then let one side sit wrong.

Hopefully its just a case of resetting the torsion bars - fingers crossed
