New Wheels.

Some will know through Facebook that my car is currently SORN and is having a couple jobs done it to pass it's MOT.

Hopefully have her back tomorrow (Thursday 16/4).

I currently have 1.9GTi wheels on it with 195/45R15 Goodyear F1's, but am fancying a change.

I am wanting to run with the same brand and size tyre.

I really like the look of the Speedline SL434's, but these others caught my eye too.

They are Wolfrace Gb Milano's

Not being that clued up on offsets and fitments etc, my question is will these Wolfrace rims fit my 1.6GTi? I have standard discs on the front and drums on the rear.

One site I found them on says they don't another says they do.

Any of you clever lot help me with this please?

Milano

The website doesn't say the offset but 15x6 is the same as a normal 205 1.9 Speedline / SMR. They had an offset of ET19. 1.6 wheels were 5.5J x 14 with an offset of ET24. 1.9 wheels fit a 1.6 fine, just a bit wider at the front and narrower at the rear (as a drum is slightly narrower than disc beam).

Seems like ET 25 is your lowest offset in 4x108 (Peugeot). I think you might need a small spacer on the back of those on a 1.6 drum beam, especially if your rear beam is not freshly rebuilt as they will come in a bit on the top with some negative camber.

Fronts will be fine as I had 7x15 ET25 on my CTI on 1.6 hubs but needed a 10mm spacer when I went to 1.9 hubs

Thank you for the reply and the info.

According to the website drop down box, selecting 15"x6" all round it gives this...

Intended Axle - Front and Rear

Size - 15 x 6.0"

Offset - 25.00

PCD - 4x108.00

They come with a fitting kit, but will give them a call before ordering to make sure everything is in order.

Thank you once again. :)

Long time no see - glad to hear that the old girl is out of hibernation and has a fresh 12 months ticket on her :)

As Henry said, they'll fit the front OK by virtue of the 1.6 GTi having 10mm wider hubs as standard than other 205 models, but I don't think that they'll fit the rear without a spacer and appropriate longer wheel bolts - even standard 1.9 GTi wheels will often show evidence of rub marks on the ARB end plates when running 195/50R15 tyres so you've probably no hope with the wheels being a few mm further inboard.

Hello good Sir, hopefully I can keep her up and running and maybe..... fingers crossed get to a show or 2 this year.

I will speak to the people tomorrow morning and make sure they come with the right fitting kit, spacers and longer bolts.

Will post back on here, probably with a photo of "The Old Girl" wearing new shoes.

Happy Days. :)

Now then, this situation is still dribbling on. I'll bring ya upto speed....

I ordered new wheels and tyres... specs are...

Size = 15" x 6"

Offset = 25.00

PCD = 4x108

Tyres = 195/45/15 (same as what I have on current wheels, just new ones)

According to the link a couple posts above this one, the new wheels will sit 6mm closer to the body of the car.

So a spacer will be required to compensate, and of course longer wheel bolts.

The company I ordered from are "supposed" to send out a fitting kit containing any required bits. To say it's become nothing more than annoying would be an understatement.

Phoned them five maybe six times since the wheels were delivered April 29th. Still no fitting kit!

So, I am more than happy to purchase the needed bits elsewhere, what I want to know is.....

5 or 10mm spacer?

What length bolt would be required?

New bolts need to be Radius seated.

Currently using 1.9GTi wheels, bolts and sat on 195/45/15 tyres.

Anyone who can help me with this will be bought a beer next time I see ya!

Thank you in advance. :)
