Faded Window Winder

This is an issue in a 305 i bought recently a GTX estate, the rear window winder handles (as far as i remember these are the same handles fitted to the 205) they have faded, its something i remember seeing in old 305 vans, but my other 2 305s have good handles, is there something that causes the plastic to fade, and can it be brought back to its original colour:

I would like to know this too, my passenger side has faded, will try using back to black and report back.

I expect its down to sun exposure. I've used plasticare on mine and they look new again.

I bought some new ones, sure they were available at the time.
