Suitable Exhaust Manifold For Supercharged Gti6

Hi all,

 

may be just from your own experience or opinion, im supercharging my 205 at some point this year, currently using the gti6 manifold re-angled.

 

Companies (such as lynx) dont say they replace the manifold when completing the conversion for their high boost application.

 

just wondering if something from lynx, spoox, pug1off etc would be a suitable upgrade (ps does anyone know the standard size downpipe diameter?

they all run standard manifolds and decat pipes.

 

no doubt you would pick up more with a proper custom manifold to spec, but I don't think anyone has documented the gains if they have done, nothing off the shelf would work so you need to seek the skills of someone like Edwards motorsport, maniflow etc.

And they don;t fit at all well, I've fitted one and a good friend of mine has and the pipes sit too low under the car and too close to the bulkhead, It's the same with the Mi ones which is why I do all my own as I don;t have the time nor should I have to mod things when fitting.

i still run the oem manifold on my supercharged gti6 although i am having a manifold made atm by my friend at jek fabrication. I cant see theres an awful lot to gain tbh as the oem ones are preety good.

Thanks everyone. Looks like standard is the way to go. What size is the downpipe, 2.25"?

 

Miles im not sure if it was you I bought my re-angled gti6 manifold off..this would have been 1-2 years ago through your ebay store?
