I used GTI6 brakes for many years, duct air to them helps a lot, DS2500 or Mintex 1155 pads.

Tyres wise road tyres aren't ideal, Toyo 888's are a half way house or my favourite are Dunlop Direzza semi slicks.

I'm half tempted by semi slicks but I experienced the oil surge problem on road tyres. to be fair it was a very tight track, with pretty much constant corners.mi think I'd blow it up if I had semi slicks lol

IV ordered a gti6 sump and oil pump to help cure it, will Ned to order a baffle In the summer.

@Tom Fenton

If it's possible, would you share some info where in the UK did you find Direzza's and which model? Star Spec or DZ03G?

And on the topic - I am very pleased with the current setup:

266mm standard Ferodo discs

EBC Yellowstuff (DS2500 are way better but double the price)

23mm master cylinder from a non-ABS 406

Cheers,

Alex
