Bit Of Help With This Gearbox

i got this gearbox a few years ago when i brought a gti6 engine that turned out to actually be an xsara vts engine, it was sold as ideal for a 205 conversion and as such i assumed the gearbox was off a 205 and as it was not needed i payed it no attention, now i was going through some bits and come across it again and realised it had an electronic speedo and a pull type clutch, so im wondering if this is a vts gearbox or a gti6 box im not sure how to tell the difference, any help is appreciated.

looks like a 6 speed, end casing looks bigger and its a lift up reverse.

ah ok is that what that cable out the top is for? i did wonder
