405 One Touch Window Guide

Iv looked at the guide here http://www.205gtidrivers.com/articles.html/_/articles-guides/body-interior-ice/405-one-touch-electric-window-fitting-guide-r83 it says the 405 switches are a direct replacement but in the pictures it shows a gap at the top and bottom of the switch,are there 2 styles of window switch for a 405 or can you put the 205 tops onto the auto switch to avoid this gap?

you can swap the tops indeed, whilst you have the tops off you can check the bulbs are ok.

correction, I know 100% that the standard switches can have the tops swapped, but I've never tried with the auto up/down switch however it does look identical other than the plug on the bottom.

205 switch top won't fit the Ph2 405 auto switch, or at least not without modification

I'm tried to fit the 205 switch top onto the 405 body and it wouldn't work

 

To be honest the gap isn't really noticeable once in the doors.
