Setting Up A Turbo Technics Engine/ Decent Rolling Road

Recommended Posts

tk1405

Hi all,

my turbo technics rebuilt project is complete. I just need to find a decent company in the midlands to set it up. Everywhere i ring just say they don't know how to do the 5th injector. The only place that know are spoox and they are booked up until august :s

anybody know of anywhere?

many thanks

best bet is to find some bigger injectors, a coil pack and a flywheel with timing teeth, and stick a mappable ecu on it, bin the 5th injector.

Alan Jeffery knows how to set up there I believe, but he's on the south coast.

Try TT themselves? but there's only the AFM to check other than that not much else to adjust other than the normal settings, but as said for ££ to BHP a aftermarket ECU nets you a good 200bhp and similar torque and you know the engine will be spot on all the time

TT don't want to know when you mention anything about conversions to them, they say they don't have any paperwork or data for the stuff they used to do, purely turbo rebuilds these days.

There's not a lot you can really adjust, all I would do is run it on the rollers and check the fuelling through the rev range to ensure the 5th injector is working. To be honest you could achieve the same thing by fitting a Wideband lambda and running it up the road.
