Gearstick Sleeve

Can anyone tell me,

 

Looking at servicebox the BE1 gearstick has a sleeve over the shaft with the fitting for the cable etc for lift up reverse. ( Pt 241023)

 

I don't see the equivalent for a BE3 gearstick?..... is the stick just bare black painted metal on a BE3 car?

BE3 uses a plain black plastic tube.

Thanks, you don't happen to know if its bonded on to the gearstick or can it just slide off?

It's not bonded, they just slide off once the knob is off.
