Xu10J2Te With Xsi Cam(Xu10J2)?

Recommended Posts

Jamal

Hi,

Everybody says that the DKZ cam is a huge upgrade for the RGX engine. I have also tried to find a DKZ cam but without success.

Instead of I have got an XSi cam from a 122 bhp 306. What do you think? It also have the approx 11 mm inlet and exhaust lift(i will measure it tomorrow).

So can it be used? The power is very similar to the DKZ(122hp/160Nm and 121hp/176Nm).

Thanks,

Szilárd

Give it a try!

I don't think it has to be specific a DKZ cam to see improvement. The standard RGX/RGY cam is very lame, so most 8V cams will do.

The lift is not the most critical thing; (more is better ;) ) Look at the overlap. It should not have too much overlap. That's why a DKZ cam works better than D6B (130bhp) cam.

The 306 XSI also has a cat, so probably it won't have massive overlap.

If you would have al the exact spec's PSA 8v cams, I think you should even possible to find better suited cam than the DKZ.

But DKZ is known to work well (have one myself), so that's why most people pick it..
