16V Exhaust

Im thinking about getting a custom exhaust made for my 309gti. It has the gti6 engine in it im wondering what size of diameter of exhaust it should be. 2" or more? thanks Ryan

Depends on your needs I would guess. Something standard, more discreet and relatively quiet or something to match the power output of the engine.

 

Dependant on the level of power you run you might find a standard exhaust will restrict the engine slightly.

 

Have a search as I'm sure there has been plenty of similar topics covered previously.

I had a 2.25 inch system on my old gti6, with a 3 inch tip - it was too loud tbh - maybe the same system with a 2.25tip and better silencers would be better

My advice is 2.25" with a 2.25" tip. If too loud, reduce tip to 2".
