Can anyone with PP2000 help with this problem please.

Have activated PP2000 and connected to ECU but it returns with: 'ECU has not replied.'

I have the leads supplied by Rich at Lynx, which also have battery leads attached to the Diagnostic tool - I assumed that they should be attached to the vehicle battery.

This a SC 205GTi 6 done by Rich running the std ECU set-up. Thanks Guys.

Have you connected it by the 2 pin plug?

Is the ignition on and the engine off?

That's a lot different to the plug I have. I take its a custom loom?

Not your standard gti6 conversion loom using oe plugs

It still has only two wires from the ECU though.

Knowing Rich I'm sure it's all connected up correctly.

You don't need anything connected to the battery to get it to work. Not sure if that will help the problem you have though

Yes. They do. This was set up by Rich @ Lynx and he definitely knows what he's doing.

I don't know what else to do now, except to try it on my son in laws GTi6'd 205, as the programme seems to be working.

If the program is running then the usb lexia thing whatever you call it is working as it wont run without it being plugged in and correct driver installed.

As Slo said, the program won't run without the gizmo plugged in. It'll get to a point where PP2000 will ask you to plug the gizmo into the USB, if not it'll shutdown. I'd imagine if the drivers weren't installed, it won't work either. A green LED should alight when working correctly (plugged into the USB of laptop and drivers installed).

To connect to the my HDi, start PP2000, plug gizmo into USB, plug into the OBD socket under the steering wheel when told to and follow instructions. I have never used the croc clips, although I am intrigued to know what they're for. I'm wondering if they can be used on older management systems too (it has twin male connector for earlier diagnostic plugs).

Old style 1 socket 2 pin plug odb the crocs are battery terminals for the vehicle you are plugging into I have yet to use it on my turbo engine to find the cause of my misfire
