Spare Wheel - From 206, Or Full Size From 407Sw

Recommended Posts

Hi

We are going on a long trip and need to confirm whether the space saver wheel that comes with the 206 would fit on a 205 hub?

Alternatively, would the full size 15 inch wheel from a 54 reg Peugeot 407 fit?

Thing is we have 3 cars and I don't have a spare wheel.

Worst case Ill carry a bottle of Holts.

Thanks

I'm pretty sure 407s are 5 stud and the tyre will probably have far too much sidewall profile for a 205.

A 206 wheel should go on, you still need to check the overall diameter though, what is the tyre size on your 206 wheel?

The tyres on the 206 are the skinny 15 inch type. The 407 wheel has 4 holes, and 15/195/60 profile.

60 profile is way too big for a 205, 195/50 is the max (on the rear at least). 195/55 will rub on the rear valence.

edit: Are you sure it's a 4 stud 407 wheel you have?

http://www.willtheyfit.com/index.php?width=185&aspect=55&diameter=15&wheelwidth=6&offset=19&width2=215&aspect2=55&diameter2=17&wheelwidth2=7.5&offset2=38#content

given some roll on 19"s, I'd say theres no chance the wheel would go in the arch let alone bolt on.

Quick google check shows a 215 55 17 tyre used, as shown on the link this is over 80mm taller in diameter than a 185 55 15.

they are also 5x108

It does sound much more like a 406, there aren't any 407s with four stud fifteen inch wheels!
