Coin Tray Flocking - Colour?

Recommended Posts

lightflow

My dash is all looking brand new now, but my coin tray needs flocking. I am going to send it to be re-flocked.

So what colour should it be? I have a 93 Phase 2. Should the flock be black or dark grey. I am thinking dark grey rather than jet black....

Yes - I had a good look again at the remnants of mine in sunlight and it does look to be black..

Ashley,

I bought the kit from eBay, I went for dark grey in the end to match P1.5.

Looks great - and I notice you have the two rubber bump stops each side - I didn't until recently. It's the little things in life sometimes :D

I am going to go for black - mine definitely looks black on second look.

come to think of it, mine needs replacing too, what do you search for on ebay or google for this stuff and can you do it yourself ?

Try "DIY Flocking Kit". Paul mrfirepro used on his if you look at his resto thread

However, I've sent mine to Banbury Flocking Services. £20 to be cleaned, flocked and posted back.

Ashley,

good find, as the kit will cost you £20, getting it done professionally for £20 is a no brainer.

And it's really messy and very hard to get into the folds of the coin slots.
