Little Oil Filter That Goes In The Feed To The Cylinder Head

Recommended Posts

mhyphenl

Hi,

Been months since I've been on here but finally got chance to get onto the PUG!!

Through a small mistake I've manged to wreak my cylinder head by getting s*ite into the oil and badly scoring the camshaft journals, consequently oil pressure is down. Now I have a replacement head which is at the machine shop being cleaned up but want to make sure I don't cock up this time. A while ago I remember someone one here mentioning that there should be a little oil filter that fits into the hole that feeds oil to the head thus protecting the head from damage, specially after a rebuild. I've been looking for ages but cant find reference to it either on here or on service box. Can anyone help???

Thanks in advance.

Martin

I hope that helps.

The last time I ordered one it was available but had to come from France

Thanks mate, I'll try and order tomorrow! Anyone know of any decent dealers to get it from, our local one is pretty crap, I used to go to a place near Doncaster that delivered but they stopped bend a pug dealer to concentrate on accident repair panels, not enough money in it apparently, God knows how at the prices they charge!?! :)

bit of a rubbish photo, it's not inserted square to the face but is at an angle, it's in the top hole and hard to see as it's brown, your new one will probably be white.
