Vts Rack Issue: Uk Rallye.

Hi All,

 

I was wondering if anyone could point me in the right direction. I'm trying to put a VTS rack (2.6 turns) onto our our UK rallye. The new rack has the same square drive as the old one however it sits higher - see below:

I was of the opinion after doing some research that these racks should be a straight swap if your current rack used a square drive. Am i missing something here as it seems that there's going to be a requirement for some alterations to the column before this will fit?

Loosen the bolt on the upper U/J inside the cabin and the lower column will slide up a bit. You can also loosen the four bolts holding the upper column to the bodyshell and there might be bit of movement on that too.
