Air Conditioning Condensate Drain Pipe Location

Recommended Posts

Hi All.

I have the (Possibly enviable) but odd problem of getting a wet passenger carpet only when using the air-con on humid days.

I am pretty confident that what is wrong is that the condensate drain pipe from the heater box is blocked so the water builds up in the heater box until it overflows though a seam or the fan housing onto the carpet. (It only happens when the air con is on, it is definitely clean water, it doesn't leak a drop in the rain)

My problem is I can't see the drain pipe. :angry:Where does that drain pipe live so I can check or unblock it?

Service box doesn't help and I cant find pictures (Unsurprisingly)

Serious credit to anyone who can help. :)

Thanks

Brian

The drain pipe should stick through the bulkhead just above the exhaust downpipe.

Yeah, it comes out behind the little heatshield in the middle of the bulkhead- the one that protects the water pipes from memory. Round pipe with a squared off end :)
