Gti6 Engine/ecu Loom Differences

Recommended Posts

boldy205

Hi, I have a carb/megajolt setup on my gti6 converted 205 gti at the moment. I have since bought a S/C kit, so will need to convert to a injection setup.

Because of this I need a GTI6 loom, so my question is, are there any differences in these looms? All I can find under a search is a difference in the MAP sensor I think? I already have the modified Lynx modified ECU, so do I need a reference from this?

Thanks

Matt

The differences between GTi-6 and Phase 1 VTS looms in just minor wiring differences and a couple of different connectors for the MAP sensor and oil pressure switch IIRC. Early 306 (Phase 1) had a diagnostic connector on the loom, but this wasn't there on Phase 2/3 looms as they had the DL16 OBD style plug in the cabin.

You can use any of them just fine with the ECU you've bought - it's Phase 2 VTS looms that you can't use as they're for a multiplex ECU.
