Difference Between Mi And Gti Injectors?

Was reading on a Bosch site that the Mi16 injectors are 214cc and the 205GTi were 195cc.

The part number is exactly the same....0280150762

 

I have a set of 205 items already ultrasonically cleaned and ready to go however a bit hesitant in putting these into the Mi until i find out for sure ]

 

Anyone shed some light on this for me please ...

are you confusing the various 'black injector grp n' or 1.6 205 gti injectors?

Yellow 762 injectors are 214cc and are used on both 1.9 Mi16 (XU9J4) and 1.9 GTi (XU9JA) engines.

 

If you think about it logically, if the part number is the same then the injector must be the same.

 

Some of the online injector lists are littered with errors, so treat what's on them with a pinch of salt.

 

As Dan said, 1.6 GTi's and low-comp (Auto) 1.9 engines (XU9J1) used different injectors.

if I recall its the later 2.0 Mi16/S16/ZX16v/XantiaVSX that used the slightly smaller yellow injectors.

Cheers for that Anthony....thats exactly what i thought re the part numbers being the same. Just seems strange that a Bosch site would have the 2 different cc's.

The ones on my MI and 205 are all yellow jobbies :}

Parts websites all copy each other's data, so all it takes is one person to make a mistake and then that error gets spread to every site that copied their listings.
