What Kind Of Brand Is This Diff

Recommended Posts

A friend of mine opened a gearbox that was sold to him as having a quaife diff.

But it doesn't look like the a quaife diff...

Anyone recognizes this diff??

It's not unusual for people to convert diffs to fit, but finding spares for an unknown diff from an unknown car is gonna be a nightmare..

Has it got no markings on it what so ever?

You can see in the first picture it's had a huge wedge machined off it to fit the box

I'd be interested to see inside it. Is it definitely LSD, eg if you turn one driveshaft does the other side shaft turn the same way? Or opposite way?

There was mention on the internet of some peugeot vehicles getting LSD's of some type in certain countries (south africa possibly) though any specific details further than that I havent a clue about.

IIRC something like a Partner Van!!

You can get the LSD as an option in Berlingos/Partners in all markets, i've seen a few over here, usually used by the Forestry Commision and suchlike - usually comes with a metal sump guard and raised suspension aswell, they cost far more than aftermarket diffs but sadly i've never seen one outside the box so can't advise if that is one in the pics.

Now you mention it I think there was a berlingo forestry van one advertised on BRF very recently, perhaps worth dropping him an email?
